In
the latest step of the import process, the user has to tell Sellf
how to proceed to merge data, in order to avoid duplicates.
He
needs to choose one or more fields that will be used as identifiers to
merge data. (Name, Last Name, phone numers etc.)
Initially I thought to give the user the choice:
"Update data" or "Create new records".
We received feedback that this step was
unnecessary: when the user doesn't select identifiers, new records will be created automatically.
We decided to add a "preview" page before completing the process, instead.
